The variegated colours of its leaves mark out this cultivar. It is similar to 'Kagiri nishiki' and to 'Butterfly' but for the striations which are of an even orange-pink colour.
Each leaf is different for shape and size, some leaves have five, others seven lobes and can reach 6 cm in length and width. Some lobes are slender and even, while others are twisted and of variable width. The basic colour is green with edges of marked white brushed with pinkish-orange colour. Sometimes the whole lobe is orange.
The plant grows erect up to 2 metres, but it is classified as a large shrub. It is not a strong growing tree but is full of small branches.
