Acer palmatum "Nicholsonii"

The Autumn colouring is the most beautiful feature of this cultivar.
Leaves have 7 lobes and vary in length between 6 and 8 cm and in width between 7 and 8 cm. Due to the long and thin middle lobes the leaves look longer. The Springtime foliage is of a slightly purple red colour.
A deep and rich green colour develops during the summer and is followed by a beautiful crimson in Autumn. 'Nicholsonii' is a medium growth plant, highly branched and reaching 2-3 metres in height and width.
