Acer palmatum dissectum

"Palmatifidium"

This cultivar differs from the other green dissectum for the shape of the lobes of its leaves. These have a more robust but still elegant look. It is deep green and has 7 grooved lobes. The 5 central lobes protrude outwards while the basal lobes bend inwards towards the petiole.
This gives both the leaves and the twigs their drooping look. The foliage has a nice green colour in Spring and Summer. Yellow, gold and crimson blend together to form a rich and highly decorative Autumn colouring.
Growth is vigorous, durable, robust and definitely drooping. This gives the plant a nice globe-like shape. Sometimes some buds shoot upwards before the drooping habit appears.
