Acer palmatum dissectum

"Green Globe"

The leaves of this cultivar, which are deeply divided, are emerald green.
The new buds Spring colouring is typically pink, sometimes deep, shading towards a creamy white colour. The apical leaves are irregularly shaped at first and take up a well defined colour and shape when mature.
Contrary to most dissectum it does not have a drooping or weeping habit.
It grows vigorously and becomes globe- shaped which makes foot-grafting the preferred choice for this specimen.
It can grow up to 3 metres in height with an even larger diameter, a remarkable size for a dissectum. It becomes yellow in Autumn.
