Acer palmatum dissectum atropurpureum
"Crimson Queen".
The main characteristic of the 'Crimson Queen' is the
persistence of its foliage red colour. It tolerates well spells of hot
weather in full sunlight with temperatures of 30°C, under these conditions
the colour turns bronze-red.
The Autumn colouring is bright scarlet-red. This plant is a vigorously
growing dissectum originally from the United States. When mature it has
a nice drooping shape. It can reach 3 metres in height and 4 metres in
width.
